Communist Party - Reviving Lost Values

Posted by Kenzu - April 9th, 2010

There is an awesome video my wife showed me yesterday.
It is a promotional video for the Communist Party of Russia, the 2nd strongest party in Russia.
I think it's very moving!

English Translation:

Some people compete in wealth and splendour
But the Majority knows how to value a good life

Some people live for today
But the majority needs certainty and a safe future

Some people consider the wealth of a nation to be their own.
But majority want to be one's own master.

Reviving lost values!

What do you think about the video? (Apart from hating communism)

Communist Party - Reviving Lost Values

Comments

If they don't fuck it up this could actually be a good thing. But knowing human beings, they will probably fuck it up.

Because there will always be "some people" who will come to power and care only about themselves

I doubt they know how to truly achieve half of their goals. What we need to move on in life is a new ideology, new moral standards, new ways to think (Some people...don't think at all, it'd seem). What gives that technology is our most potent weapon in dominating the planet? It evolves, constantly, while WE as a species stopped, even our brains are stuck in old morales, inspired by religion and other, obsolete things. The people need not new representants, they need to represent themselves. And communism met a massive failure as a system: Not good. We need a NEW system, a FLUID system that can ADAPT. So, meh for the values, politicians tend to embellish the truth anyway.

Most communist parties achieve the goal of equality and welfare for all by a few simple steps:

Nationalise key industries,
give free health care and education to everyone,
guarantee jobs for everyone
build state housing which is affordable even for the poorest,
prevent people from becomming unemployed and falling into homelessness and crime.

The only way communism can ever work is if humans give up ambition. If they say your going to be a farmer, but you have dreams of becomming an astronaught, too bad.

Communism is a nice idea, the only problem is that it doesn't work with humans.

Another point of interest is that in Russia, the majority of the Communist party are kids who havn't yet left their parents house, or just started in the work place, so of course communism SOUNDS good while they are WORKING IN a capitalistic society, so they can talk the talk without having to walk the walk.

They can think of how wonderful being equal will be without having to yet give up freedoms and rights that the little bastards take forgranted.

tl:dr ~ Communism doesn't work, the IDEA of communism is great, but it never has and never will work unless you remove sections of everyones brain and be like Nazi Germany. Nice try commies, but it's gg for you

Who says you have to become a farmer?

Thinking that only kids believe in communism is wrong. People of all age and of all professions support communist ideals, and vote for the communist party, Especially well educated students and people who lived during socialist times.

Socialism is better than capitalism, because in capitalism many people cannot pursuit their dreams simply because they have been born to poor families who can't afford to send their children to study in a university or to fulfill their other dreams.

Socialism makes it possible, because it gives equal opportunities to everyone, no matter who your parents are.

It's too late for comunism to be reborn.Especialy after the fall of U.S.S.R.

until now there was soviet socialism, who says there can't be a better, socialism of the 21st century?

Nothings ever been wrong with communism. I would say Fascism is a bigger worry about. Hitler kinda gave everyone a bad rep because he "Borrowed" so many of Musolini's ideas (The Black coats = the brown coats, etc). I've read of Marxism working in North America, which sounds crazy to me, but if that is possible, why not...

Give some sauce Five-iron, or shut your communist mouth. We have never BEEN communism, so how can communism work OUTSIDE of TINY communities? Huh? Bitch they can't, shut your whore mouth

fuck yeah communism

in soviet russia car drives u^^

Hell yeah, I voted for 'em and they had most votes in my region!

You got my support, tovarish!

Ha hahaa. Oh my.

I usually don't get involved in the political arguments and I never watch such promo movies as the one shown above, but I hate to see how hidebound, petty half-humans lie shamelessly about something, they're never even going to understand. Yes, I'm talking about you, ImperialNarwhal. You can swear all you want, but it won't make you smarter the least bit. The sad thing is, you'll never learn and instead will wallow in your ignorance for the rest of your life.

That said I'll just try to prove that colouring such things as ideology in black or white can never be true.

//If they say your going to be a farmer, but you have dreams of becomming an astronaught, too bad.

The Soviet Russia has ALWAYS (even in it's darkest hours) promoted and supported education and science. ALL education was free of charge, including colleges and universities. The only thing that was required - brains. Nobody could force a young man to take a certain profession, if the said young man wanted to do something else and could do it well. It might seem impossible, but it's actually true. Not only did the universities take in the soviet youth, but also many students from Eastern Europe, Africa, India, etc. For foreign students education was paid, but it was WAY cheaper (thanks to governmental grants), then in Western Europe and I dare say it wasn't worse even a little. In certain fields of science even better maybe.

//the majority of the Communist party are kids who havn't yet left their parents house, or just started in the work place
Another piece of rubbish. A great number of CPRF supporters are actually elderly people, who LIVED in the USSR and can compare their life then and during the atrocious 90-s. Even now, over almost 20 years after the USSR fell apart, they (the ones, who still remain) support their party, and I think it counts a lot.

//how can communism work OUTSIDE of TINY communities
China is a communist country. Now THAT'S a tiny community!

To sum up, I'd like to tell everyone, who reads this post, that I don't even try to acquit the communist ideology in your eyes. Every society has it's flaws. I only would advise you to pay little heed to stupid haters and mass-media. Media has it's goals and they only show you, what they want you to see. Haters act according to their hate. I am pretty biased myself, and due to that fact I wont discuss with you philosophy and ideology. The only things I've given are facts.

P.S. Yeah, almost forgot... I'm not a communist myself. That's to all of you, who will want to call me a "fuckin' commie". ;)

True, ignorance glares out of ImperialNarwhal.

Media, unfortunately has a massive inpact on politically uneducated massed.
That's one of the reasons why people in USA keep electing such bad presidents.

Republicans and Democrats?
Both of them are right wing, even our most right wing parties here in Europe aren't as right wing as these two american parties. Even our far right parties would not allow privatised health care, but US government accepts it. Why? Because people keep voting not for the one who will give them rights, and welfare, but for the people who they see the most on the TV.

Media has a strong impact not only in USA, but in pretty much any country of the world.

The only reason why the world didn't become socialist yet, is because of people's ignorance and faith in what the TV says.

All people need to have is more critical thinking!

Communism as an idea is good but it is impossible for it to be executed flawlessly. There will ALWAYS be someone on top of others (Communist Party members during the days of the USSR.)

I like your comment!

Thanks for sharing. This commercial sums up how I feel. But I'm too far away from Russian politics to know if they're being sincere.

The idea is sincere, it's obvious however that with rising popularity of ANY party, opportunists and greedy pigs will infiltrate it for personnal gain.

No doubt Communist Party is much better than the current corrupt Putin's Party, which buys their votes with the money they have robbed from people.

Communists suck.

Wow, a comment of high intellect!

I would expect nothing less of an anti-communist

*sarcasm*

I don't like communism: period. Look at what happened to communist countries in the past! THEY FAILED. We should learn from our history, else we are doomed to repeat it.

You may ask, why shouldn't we support communism? Then everyone is equal, and everyone gets stuff. For a lot of reasons, this is flawed. Everyone is not equal even in communism, since you had the friends of the government being more equal than everyone else, and everyone being equal is a bad thing. Everyone is not equal: the least and most we should give people is equal opportunity. If everyone was equal, we would be artificially propping up those who do not try (they go against communistic production anyways) and deflating those who can be better and make a difference, because they're too good. Also, the everyone gets stuff part is also flawed. The good of the country is not a good enough motivator for strong production. In Soviet Russia, nobody ever met production quotas.

I could go on and write a university paper. I even lost my original point. But I made a new one and you could read it.

Communist countries have never existed.
Something that never existed couldn't have failed.

Get your facts straight before you come to discuss anything with us.

Dude, that reply is hardcore! :) Still, I think you oversimplify the matter a little bit. There were many flaws in the USSR govenment. Effective, non-corrupt administration is a thing, which is rare to achieve and almost impossible to maintain. If you're up to create the better socialism of the XXI-th century, it's awesome and all, but defeating mass media won't automatically take you there. It's all about people. Ideas are powerful things, and I really think that capitalism is bound to fall one day, but until then... Politicians are never sincere, and Gennady Zyuganov is but a politician, after all.

Socialism can exist even in a flawed society with some degree of corruption an inequality.

People should overthrow governments that don't fullfill their election promises.
And keep overthrowing them until proper people come to power.

There is still hope in humanity

keep the good work ^ ^

An italian communist

thanks comrade!

Thats interesting but it doesn't change my values. I really think that in the end the government will have solved nothing or complicated anything. Just a group that can say "We were there when that happened." I tend to lean towards anarchy but I know that wouldn't work any better and probably worse.

There is a reason its not as big anymore it doesnt work sure it sounds appeling and i wish things could be as simple as this party makes it sound but the fact of the matter is that 1.its been tested its failed 2.people will always be greedy and ambitious and 3.this is not what my uncles father grandfather and great grandfather fought to protect sure capitalism isnt the best but it sure as shit aint the worst and you can bet your life on that

majority of people are not greedy

Ambition doesnt harm socialism nor is it bad.

capitalism isn't worst, fascism might be,
but capitalism is definitely worse than socialism.

Well lets see i don`t really like communist party views if there a single party again make another soviet union.Besides I sorta like all socialist but not the communist goverment I mean if the party and not the people vote its all mess up also the communist never pointed ou or cared the environmental proplems.Yet if iam wrong you may correct me.
