Tires or tyres (see American and British English spelling differences) are pneumatic enclosures used to protect and enhance the effect of wheels.

Tires are used on all types of vehicles, from cars to earthmovers to airplanes. Tires enable vehicle performance by providing for traction, braking, steering, and load support. Tires are inflated with air, which provides a flexible cushion between the vehicle and the road that smooths out shock and provides for a comfortable ride quality.

The earliest tires were bands of iron (later steel), placed on wooden wheels, used on carts and wagons. The tire would would be heated in a forge fire, placed over the wheel and quenched, causing the metal to contract and fit tightly on the wheel. The tension of the tire served to impart strength to the wheel. The tire then provided a wear-resistant surface to the perimeter of the wheel. This work was done by a skilled craftsman, known as a wheelwright.

The first practical pneumatic tire was made by the Scot John Boyd Dunlop for his son's bicycle, in an effort to prevent the headaches his son had complained of while riding on the rough roads of the time (Dunlop's patent was later declared invalid because of prior art by fellow Scot Robert William Thomson). However, the pneumatic tire also has a more important effect of vastly reducing rolling resistance compared to a solid tire. Because the internal air pressure acts in all directions, a pneumatic tire is able to "absorb" lumps and bumps in the road as it rolls over them without experiencing a reaction force opposite to the direction of travel, as is the case with a solid (or foam-filled) tire. The difference between the rolling resistance of a pneumatic and solid tire is easily felt when propelling wheelchairs or baby buggies fitted with either type.

Pneumatic tires are made of a flexible elastomer material such as rubber with reinforcing materials such as fabric and wire. Tire companies were first started in the early 20th century, and grew in tandem with the auto industry. Today over 1 billion tires are produced annually, in over 400 tire factories, with the three top tire makers commanding a 60% global market share.

If you don't like the EU, you can leave. Most people want EU countries to stay. Killing millions wouldn't solve anything, because there are many Hungarians, who want EU as well.

Nevertheless this movie was great!

Thanks for the good score, and about your political commentary: it's better to be in than out, I suppose. I really was outraged when I created this movie, but since then I have mellowed :) the EU didn't bring an instant economical boom, but it didn't do anything bad either; I'll just wait and see what the future holds. Anyway, it does sound neat to be able to say "I'm a European Union citizen, jackass." :)

good, but inaccurate

Here is my small review. You can read it, but you may also not. It might broaden your horizons and show you views that don't come from your American community. Here it is:

It seems to me that you think that USA won WWII (with its few tousand soldiers). All you did in west Europe was like a walk in the park, since you didn't fight German main armies, but only guards, because all veterans, special troops, armies, weaponry and supplies were sent against the Soviet Union, the main threat of Nazi Germany.

Most Nazi soldiers were killed by soviets. West Europe has been defeated within months all that was left was Britain, which was just able to defend the German threat.

And It was the Soviets, who defeated Germany. They destroyed their biggest tank divisions in Kursk, the cleansed Berlin. Americans didn't go in there before it turned red.

Another important fact: Hitler didn't send just Jews into concentration camps, but also soviet soldiers, and Germans as well. Political prisoners (mainly socialists and communists), homeless people, "workshy" people, gay, handicapped, as well as Nazi veterans, who lost an arm or leg in WWII. Over 1 million Germans died in Nazi concentration camps.

Important note: The soviet Union didn't just fight Germans, but also huge Italian armies, which fought alongside with Germans when invading soviet motherland (e.g. in Stalingrad). They also fought the Japanese, who invaded the USSR, they fought them in China as well as in Korea. (They have liberated half of Korea btw)

Soviet Union has the full right for being named responsible for destroying Fascism in Europe.

Remember that USA only joined fighting when it was clear that Soviet are supreme. They joined the fight, mainly to prevent the Soviet Union from "liberating" the rest of Europe. It was clear that under the Soviet sphere of influence, Socialist and communist parites would win elections, due to monetary aid to left wing parties.
